Detectable Underground Warning Mesh Warning Tape Detectable Underground Warning Fence

The warning net is a bright, coloured polypropylene mesh which incorporates a stainless steel tracer wire which runs the entire length of the marker and to which is laminated a coloured polyethylene tape printed with a suitable warning message. Different colours of warning mesh are available to warn of the presence of buried service lines e.g. water pipelines, sewers, gas pipes, telecommunications and fibre optic cables or electricity cables  

Plastic underground warning mesh is normally installed a specified distance directly above the utility to be marked so that future excavators will be aware of the cable or pipeline further below.

Locata warning meshes offer a visual warning to excavators and have the added advantage that they detectable on the surface by, eg CAT & Genny. They are not intended to offer any protection or resistance to further excavation. Warning meshes may also be used in combination with cable protection tiles or  cable protection tape or, other underground warning tapes
